“I remember my first jump when the door opened, and the wind and aircraft noise felt overwhelmingly loud
I jumped because mastering the technical side of the sport, especially high-performance canopy piloting, keeps pushing me back.t.
I wasn’t alone. Fresh Heir Adventures gives me a family-like community that balances the isolation of focusing so heavily on canopy work.”

“My journey started with a prayer, “Lord, if I make it down alive, I won’t play in your face again.” Look at me now
I jump because the community has brought incredible people into my life that I love, cherish, and can’t imagine living without.
But what makes it special is the representation. Coming together as Black skydivers, taking up space, and showing we belong is powerful and inspiring.”

“My first jump started with excitement and nerves, and the moment the door opened, and control left my hands, I trusted my instructor and leaned into it.

I jump for the mental reset that comes from being fully present, where the noise disappears and nothing exists but the moment.

I fly with complete focus, because the stakes demand it and it’s the only place my mind truly clears.”

Jaye

I’ll never forget my first jump. I got called out by the people I trusted most with my life, so I had to prove I wasn’t a scared punk.
I keep jumping because once I learned I could train and go solo that same day, I handed over my wallet and never looked back.
And I don’t do this alone. Fresh Heir Adventures means everything. It’s finally having a tribe, a village, and a community of Black skydivers in a sport where we’re deeply underrepresented.”

Jeremy

I remember my first jump. The long ride up the plane made everything feel surreal, and even 5,000 feet looked incredibly high out the window. The canopy ride felt short, but the moment I touched the ground I knew I had to do it again.
I jumped because I fell in love with the technical side of the sport and the constant challenge to improve. There is always something new to learn, a new move to try, and the grind of getting better keeps me coming back.
I wasn’t alone. Rory Corrigan, Alex DeGlopper, and Mark Wallace supported me early and helped shape the flyer I am today.

Raheem

My journey started with a tandem jump on my 21st birthday because I believed fear is a signal to run toward, not away from. The moment I stepped into the sky, the chaos disappeared and it felt unexpectedly peaceful and clear.
I jump because my mind is always moving with responsibilities, plans, and pressure. Freefall forces everything quiet and brings me fully into the present moment.
But what makes it special is the community I found through Fresh Heir Adventures after years of often being the only Black jumper at the dropzone. That community gave me people in the sky, accelerated my growth, and turned the sport into something deeper and more meaningful.

Brian

I remember my first jump when I did a tandem in 2009 at Gold Coast Skydiving in Mississippi and it was freezing cold. Years later to 2016, after a couple more tandems, I finally went solo and realized after that first freefall and landing that I was about to spend a lot of money.
I jumped because of the community and challenge of accomplishing the goals I set for each jump.
I wasn’t alone. Early on at Spaceland Houston, some experienced jumpers kept inviting me on belly jumps and looking out for me. Fresh Heir means exposure, breaking stereotypes, and enjoying skydiving with a community that shares the experience.
